Environmental Risk Management Authority
The Environmental Risk Management Authority (ERMA) controls the introduction of new plants and animals, including genetically modified organisms (GMO's), and new and existing hazardous substances to New Zealand.
ERMA's main role is to make decisions on applications to import, develop, or field test new organisms; or to import or manufacture hazardous substances to New Zealand.
If you use chemicals or other dangerous goods at work you must know how to handle and store them safely.
