Ministry of Consumer Affairs
The Ministry of Consumer Affairs (MCA) primary role is to create an environment that promotes good and accurate information flows between suppliers and consumers so that consumers can transact with confidence.
Their vision is to create confident consumers by the development of consumer policy including consumer protection; product safety and weights and measures; the provision of education and advice for consumers and businesses on consumer laws and issues; investigation of unsafe consumer products; the provision of advice on consumer representation; and the administration of a range of consumer legislation and enforcement of the Weights and Measures Act 1987.
