Ministry of Justice
The Ministry of Justice (MOJ) exists to create a fairer and safer New Zealand. The Ministry’s primary role is to provide advice to the Minister and Associate Ministers of Justice and government. This advice contributes to the strategic direction of government and changes to justice legislation.
The Ministry also provides services on behalf of government, including services and facilities that support judicial decision-making processes and the process of bringing proceedings to courts, tribunals and authorities to be heard and decided.
